Biokovo Skywalk

Height: 1228 meters above sea level

The Biokovo Skywalk is located at the scenic location of Ravna vlaška, at an altitude of 1,228 meters above sea level. The lookout features a geological column, a three-dimensional representation of the cross-section of rocks that shaped the Biokovo mountain over millions of years, from its creation to the present day. There is also a geological table describing the age and types of rocks. There is an information centre, a sanitary facility and a car park next to the lookout.

The lookout can be reached by the road that starts at the entrance to the Biokovo Nature Park, located approximately 6 km east of Makarska. The road leading to the highest peak of Biokovo, Sveti Jure (1,762 meters above sea level), is Croatia’s highest asphalt road.

Spectacular view of the sea and islands

The plateau of the lookout gives a magnificent view of the sea and islands. The coast of Italy can also be seen during sunny days. A transparent glass floor, which protrudes from the cliff edge, allows a unique bird's-eye view of the cliffs of Biokovo.

Arriving at the Biokovo Skywalk

The Skywalk can be reached by a private car. However, the roads are narrow and steep, and the waiting time to enter the Nature Park can be long, so we recommend you to contact our agency. We work with a trusted carrier who drives guests to the Skywalk every day. As he is a big enthusiast for Biokovo and photography, you may also get a few beautiful photos of this impressive place.
